At the first den my siblings and I shrieked at the mere site of a snake and I’m telling you, it was even worse when we found one in the middle of the pathway. To tease us, mom picked up the snake and tried to get us to hold it. Eventually I picked one up but I was still terrified. By the time we got to the fourth den we all had a pet snake and named them Larry, Dot and Fred. We tried to convince Mom to let us take them aboard but of course it didn’t work.
